Customer Review: Great 32" LCD
Have had plasma flat screens before but was enticed by a local merchant to try the LCD. I have no complaints other than it has no head phone jack. The quality of picture is outstanding and a Bluray DVD is just phenomenal. Very happy with my purchase. It arrived timely and had no flaws.

This tv has a great picture and is easy to operate. Im more than satisfied with it

Choosing the right technology

Plasma and LCD TVs look the same, but they are not. Some features or options don't differ a lot, but these are the major differences:

Size

If you arfe looking for an extra large TV, go for a plasma. Plasma TVs are the current size champions, particularly when comparing TVs that consumers can easily purchase. LCDs are catching up in size with their developing technology, however, and may surpass Plasmas in the near future. This may be due to difficulties in producing glass large enough for larger plasmas.

Burn-ins

With the latest plasma technology, this is less of an issue than ever before. The Pixel Orbitor, for example, is a method of reducing burn-in used by plasma manufacturers. It requires no additional programing from the end user as some older burn-in prevention techniques did.
Note: If you plan to use a plasma for gaming, some games with permanent 'dashboards' may still cause some burn-in. If you will be using the television for display use only, go for an LCD. Plasmas are more likely to get burned-in pixels.

Miscellaneous

- LCD TVs are far less fragile than plasmas. This is also an advantage when the tv set has to be shipped or moved to a different location.

- LCD TVs are also much easier to install than plasma TVs.

- LCD TVs have a better performance at high altitudes.

- LCD TVs are often cheaper than plasma TVs. The difference in pricing is getting smaller, however.

Ofcourse, all this information is available all over the web. For a detailed comparison sheet, I recommend using Wikipedia's comparison sheet.

Flat Screen TV comparison, dont get it wrong

If you have made a choice between plasma and LCD (I'll name it Flat screen TV from now on), you can pick a TV of your choice. Flat screen TV comparison will able you to find out exactly what you want and whatll fit the budget.

Brands

The following brands are being considered as the best manufacturers of Flat screen TVs:

- Hitachi

- Panasonic

- Philips

- Pioneer

- Samsung

If you are looking for a product with outstanding quality, we recommend choosing one of these brands.

Features

Different Flat screen TVs have different features. Most of these features look the same, but there are a couple of unique features as well:

- Ambilight

- HD ready or not?

- Picture in Picture

There are lots of comparison website available, but you will have to know how to use them. Filter the models by brand, price and features and the choice will be a lot easier.

He is always interested in the latest features and the latest technologies, and an absolute Hifi-geek. Occasionaly, Kensington writes for a large reviewing website as well.

When the time comes to buy an HDTV, the first question that often comes up is: LCD or Plasma? Those are the two major types of HDTVs that are popular today. Each has its own set of advantages and disadvantages. We'll help to clear the air and assist you in making a well-informed purchasing decision.

Inside of a plasma TV, lots of tiny gas particles are precisely charged with electricity in order to create a picture. In LCDs, a sandwich of liquid crystals combined with backlighting are used to create the picture.

Because of this difference in backlighting, plasmas can do a slightly better job of displaying black levels when compared to LCDs. More precisely, this is due to the fact that the backlighting on LCDs is always on, so there's a chance for some light to leak out during dark scenes.

This might also mean that you'll get higher contrast and detail from plasmas when judging those dark scenes in movies and TV shows. Experts also say that plasmas have better color saturation thanks to the lack of light leakage found in LCDs.

Plasmas also have slightly better viewing angles when compared to LCD. Now LCDs have started to catch up to the plasmas but plasma still holds a slight edge. Typically, when viewing an LCD from more extreme angles, there will be some degree of color and/or brightness shift.

Plasma fans will also say that image blur is more of a problem with LCDs. But with newer technology like 120Hz refresh rate screens, the difference is negligible.

Price wise, LCDs are about the same or in some cases, cheaper than plasmas. Historically, plasmas have been available in larger sizes although there are super expensive special model LCDs that can match the size of some of the larger plasmas.

In terms of image resolution, LCD has the edge. Inch for inch, LCDs tend to have higher native resolution when compared to their plasma cousins. This means that there's more pixels packed in the same size screen which means better image detail.

LCDs are lighter and use much less electricity than plasmas. LCDs have a tendency to have longer lifespan than plasmas. In some cases as much as 30,000 hours longer than plasmas.

Burn-in can be an issue with plasmas. Again, technology has come to the rescue so it's less of an issue now. But even in cases of burn-in, if you give the plasma a few days, there's a decent chance for the burned-in image to go away.

For larger TVs (50+ inches) plasmas offers the most value with its slightly better image quality. For smaller TVs (42 inches and less) LCD is the better deal. On the bright side, if you're willing to wait, chances are good you'll get a better LCD set thanks to continuous rapid developments in LCD technology.

In the end, the best way to buy a good TV is go down to the show room and look at some of these models for yourself. Or better yet, go to high end home theater shop or your friends house. Chances are much better that the TV will be in a more natural environment where you can fairly judge the image qualities of the TV in question.

Trust me, you don't want to look at a HDTV in an overly bright showroom environment with all kinds of brightly lit eye candy flashing on and off in the immediate vicinity.

I recently had the pleasure and the misfortune to shop for a new television. Now I have been a rear projection screen man for almost ten years, but with the new evolution of the Plasma and LCD technology I was soon to become the newest convert in the evolution of digital television.

It was not by choice that I made this decision, but by necessity. I was the proud owner of a sixty inch rear projection screen television that decided upon itself one cold Saturday morning to go on the blink. After making several phone calls to the hard to find television service techs, the decision was made that it was time to purchase a new television.

Now if that shopping experience wasn't painful enough when looking at the price tags on these high tech devices, just making the decision between plasma and LCD took a considerable amount of time. I finally made my decision, bit the bullet and spent a considerable amount of dollars on what I considered to be my best choice. Then came the bomb shell, the HDMI cables!

After making all those decisions, it was time for the salesman to explain to me about the HDMI cable that was necessary in order for me to have the picture quality that my new plasma screen television demanded. Now don't get me wrong, I understand that this is where most of the big chain electronic stores make the bulk of their profit, but WOW, the price on these cables was through the roof. Then the big question in my mind, are they really necessary?

The answer to that is both yes and no. If you are in to electronics as I am, then you will be sure to notice the difference in picture quality. If you are a novice at all of this, well then you may never notice the difference. Here are a few questions you may want to ask yourself before spending big dollars on cables:

Will not using these high end cables hurt your equipment? No it will not.

Do the other devices in your theater array have the current technology to make the difference in picture quality? If not, then you may want to either replace that equipment as well, or work with what you have.

Does your local cable company support HD, and how many channels are available in HD at this time? In my area, HD channels at this time are scarce.

Can I get these cables at a better price? Yes you certainly can and about a third of the cost that even the big discount outlets like those that start with the letter "W", if you get my drift.

It's a big dollar purchase, go at it with a strategy. Know what your maximum budget is before you go shopping and do your research, research research before making any purchase.

Back in the day, 10 or 15 years ago, the whole world knew that you had satellite TV. You purchased a big satellite dish, no, a really BIG satellite dish and planted it in your yard pointed at the stars and ran some cables from the dish into your home to boxes that sat atop your television. With that you could get channels on your TV from anywhere in the world, if the dish was pointed just right. You could also get no channels at all if the wind was blowing too hard.

With the old time satellite TV dishes every television in the house that was hooked up to the dish would have to watch the same channel at the same time. Believe it or not, a lot of people actually hooked more than one television to the same dish, too. Maybe they did it because the whole family didn't want to be in the same room together or maybe simply to be able to watch TV in several rooms in the house.

You were more likely to see the big satellite dishes in rural and remote areas where there was no cable TV to be had. It was really their only option if they wanted to watch more than just the standard three local channels and some people couldn't even get those three. In the city everybody had cable because they didn't really have the room in their yards for the large satellite dishes.

Times have certainly changed. Satellite TV is still around but the dishes are very small and sit on top or attached to the side of your house. They take up no yard space at all, and even city dwellers are doing satellite now. Many are doing it because of the lower cost of satellite TV services verses the cable bill. Others simply like the quality that satellite can offer them and feel that overall satellite TV is better than cable.

Satellite TV has also seen and welcomed many new television stations than ever before. You can get your hands on a budget friendly package that will offer you more hooks within your home, more television channels and even some movie channels for a fraction of the cost you would pay for a cable bill.

So which one is better: Satellite or Cable? That really depends on who you ask. For most it is a personal preference so the old saying "seeing is believing" is something that you should take in consideration. If you haven't tried satellite, now is the best time to do so!

Direct TV is the nation's leading provider of satellite television services. For the best in sports programming, movies, and high-definition entertainment, check out the latest Direct TV deals.

Are you looking for an original but practical gift for the holiday season? A Mac compatible digital voice recorder may be the best buy. Two of the most popular lines of Mac compatible voice recorders are Olympus and Philips. These devices are digital audio recorders that records sound via flash memory and can convert it to WAV files or MP3 files for PC computer use. (You can use a USB port for fast communication) In years passed, the only operating system that supported this type of compression and transfer was Windows. Therefore, news of the Macintosh compatible digital voice recorder and Mac-compatible software like the high compression DSS Player (Digital Speech Standard) were exciting to Apple fans.

What are some of the best features about these Mac compatible digital voice recorders? You can adjust the microphone to record meetings involving multiple voices, or your own voice or even softer sounds. With some models you get an FM tuner which you can then use to record full songs on the radio. You will enjoy hearing the 3-D stereo sound made possible by WOW XTTM audio technology. The large LCD screen also displays the artist and gives you helpful information.

You never have to worry about running out of tape or going over your memory capacity. The best Macintosh compatible digital voice recorders can record 500 hours or more of high quality audio with stereo sound. You can choose a digital video recorder with a stereo microphone that comes designed as a tie clip (and provides perfect positioning for recording) or you can use the high-tech voice activation feature. This feature lets the user automatically start recording as soon as a voice is detected.

Not only can you record and transfer audio files, but on some models equipped with USB Mass Storage you can also store important documents and photographs. You have the power to manipulate your audio recordings with the DSS Player and either slow them down (ideal for transcribing) or speed them up for special audio effects. There are also built in features like a Voice Filter function and Noise Cancel function to protect your audio content from air conditioner noise and other distracting noises that distract from the words being spoken. On your digital voice recorder Macintosh compatible system you can lock important files and protect them from accidentally being erased or erase as many files as you choose.

A Mac compatible digital voice recorder will make a great gift for a busy professional who wants to dictate important notes throughout the day or even a child who wants to record his own songs off the radio. With all the extra features, and now a Mac-friendly operational system, expect these Mac compatible digital voice recorders to be a top seller this holiday season.

Today kids are becoming fascinated with technology at much younger ages. Even toddlers and preschoolers want a digital camera of their own. Parents may wonder which is the best option for their child or if there is a kids digital camera that is rugged enough to take the abuse that young children often dish out. There are some great products out there that have great digital camera reviews. Here is a look at some of the top rated digital cameras for kids.

Fisher Price Digital Camera

The Fisher Price Digital Camera is made specifically for preschoolers and kids up to about age 7. It has large handles that are rubber for easy gripping. The tough design makes it hard to break and if kids drop it, it is no big deal. It has a 1.6" color LCD screen so that kids can see the pictures they have taken right away. It has 1.3 megapixels and 8MB of internal memory, enough for about 60 pictures. It also has a slot for an SD card. You can connect it to the computer with the USB cord so that they can share their pictures online. It has an auto flash feature and a wrist band. It also comes in either pink or blue. The digital camera reviews on this product are excellent. It runs about $55.

Vtech Kidizoom Camera

This is a great kids digital camera and the digital camera reviews support it. Parents rave that their kids love this camera. It has a connector cable that lets kids use it with the TV or the computer. It also has fun games and movies on it that kids love. It also has a neat editing feature that lets kids do wacky and fun things to their pictures. It has large handles for easy gripping, and a double viewer and LCD screen to make taking pictures a snap. It is a great preschool digital camera that, even though it is new, has already won several awards. The cost for this top rated kids digital camera is between $55 and $60.

These are the top two digital cameras for kids. Both are great products that have excellent digital camera reviews. Keep in mind that the picture quality is not going to be great because it is a kids digital camera. It is made to be durable, and both claim to be virtually indestructible. Either one of these cameras would be a great choice for a preschooler who loves to take pictures.

Low Profile Flat Wall Mounts for 32"-60" Plasma/lcd Tv(silver)

The flat universal flat wall mount supports virtually any 32" to 60" flat panel screen. The ultra-slim wall plate keeps the screen close to the wall for a very discreet installation that is perfect for boardrooms, or home theaters.
Customer Review: low profile wall mount
great product, super fast shipping. couldn't find a better price, the biggest downside is it doesnt tilt at all, and every time you want to plug something in the back (at least for my tv) you have to take it off the mount, which is very easy to do, but a pain when you have to.

Consider the following scenario. You are driving to your office and you have a very important presentation to make. On the way, you remember that you haven't switched on your home security system. You will now constantly worry about the safety of your home. Throughout the day, you will be bothered by the nagging thought that you have forgotten to turn on the alarm, and this will ruin your entire day. You might even make a mess of your presentation. You can avoid such scenarios by installing a home automation system.

This could sound like a science fiction movie; at the same time, you must remember than automation technology has been around for quite sometime now. Millions of people have installed it in their homes, and they are quite happy with their home automation systems. Home automation systems make life easier and more secure.

Modern automation system are associated with home security functionalities that aim to protect your home and family. For example, if you have decided to go on a vacation with your family, you can prevent burglars from breaking in by simply installing a home automation system. You can then program your entertainment and lighting system to turn on and off at different times of the day to give the impression that someone is at home. This is a simple security method that keeps burglars away from your house. No burglar will dare to burgle a seemingly fully occupied residence. You can do this in addition to activating your alarm system, which will anyway alert you if anybody gets into your house.

Some home automation systems come with fire alarms, emergency lighting, smoke detectors, and a number of other safety features, which will be of great help to you. For instance, if a fire begins in some part of your house, the alarm goes off and turns on all the lights in your house. You can now quickly exit your house and call up the fire department. Some alarms send an alert to the fire department as well.

Besides the above-mentioned benefits, there are a number of other advantages that you can enjoy if you install a home automation system. Imagine that you have just settled down in bed and suddenly remembered that you had forgotten to turn off the kitchen lights. In such as case, you can just use the wireless touch screen control panel that come with sophisticated home automation systems. A simple touch of your finger will turn off the lights in the kitchen.

Now, home automation systems are associated with the Internet. This makes it possible for you to reach your home alarm system via the Internet. This development in technology makes it possible for you to log on to your home automation system via the Internet and just click on a simple icon to activate your home security system.

Home automation systems can indeed make your life more comfortable and secure. If you want to purchase a home automation system, purchase from an enterprise that uses the latest technology to manufacture automation products. A digital TV converter box is just what it sounds like. It's basically a box that will sit on top of your television that will take an analog signal that you receive through an antenna and convert it to digital. What a digital TV converter box does is also make your picture clearer and crisper. These are becoming more popular because of the cutoff date for broadcasting channels to start sending their signals in only 100% digital and cutoff the analog transmissions.

Beginning at midnight on February 17th, 2009 all broadcasting stations such as your local channels will start broadcasting in 100% digital signal which means you will need to have a digital tv converter box if you still want to receive signals. The reason they are doing this is to improve picture quality for everyone but also to free up more airwaves for emergency signals as there are more available in digital compared to analog.

If you currently are a cable or satellite subscriber you should not have to do anything to start receiving the digital programming, however if you do receive signals from just an antenna (usually the bunny rabbit ears), you will need to get a digital converter box.

These units will range anywhere from $25 for an Insigna model all the way in upwards to $200 for top of the line models. The major difference in the two will be how many features the unit has, but they will both do the conversion for you. You may also qualify for a $40 coupon if you currently receive an analog signal to be used towards the digital tv converter box.

With so many MP3 Players available on the market, it is quite a challenge on deciding which one is right for you. Apple's iPod models are currently the most popular MP3 players today, though there are many other options that are giving the iPod fierce competition.

Below you will find a few things that our product specialists recommend our customers to consider before purchasing an MP3 Player.

Memory Capacity: It's important that you think about how many songs you plan to have on your MP3 player before making a purchasing decision. If you want to have your whole music collection with you everywhere you go, then it makes sense for you to get an MP3 Player with more than 20 gigabytes of storage space. On the other hand if you only plan to have your favorites on the player, than you should be fine with less than 10 gigabytes.

On average, you should be able to fit about 250 songs in the MP3 format for every gigabyte. So for a 10 gigabyte MP3 Player, you will be able to store about 2500 songs. This figure is just an average; actual results may be more or less depending on the length of the individual songs you store.

Size: If you plan on using your MP3 player for entertainment while you exercise, you might want to consider the much smaller MP3 player models available. The drawback is that usually the smaller the player, the less music it can hold. Though as technology has advanced, sometimes even the smallest MP3 players can hold hundreds if not thousands of songs.

Format Compatibility: The phrase MP3 Player is commonly used to describe any type of digital audio player. Though almost all of these players are compatible with the MP3 file format, they can usually play many other types of file formats as well. When it comes down to format compatibility, it truly depends on where you will be getting your music. If you plan to "rip" your music straight from your CD's then you should be fine with just about any type of MP3 player, as you will usually have the option to "rip" the files in the MP3 format. If you plan on downloading your songs from iTunes, then your files will most likely be in the AAC format. Unfortunately, this file format is usually only compatible with iPods. Be sure to check an MP3 player is compatible with the file format the site you plan to download from currently offers before you make a purchasing decision.

Photos and Videos: If you will be relying on your MP3 Player to keep you entertained while away from home consider one that can display photos and videos. Many sites on the Internet are offering movies, shows, and other videos for consumers to view on their MP3 players. If you plan on only using your MP3 Player for listening to music, for example while you worked out, then an MP3 player without the photo and video capabilities will be just fine for you. Keep in mind that watching videos on an MP3 Player drains the battery out much faster than only listening to music.

Radio Tuners: Many MP3 Players on the market have FM tuners, which allow you to listen to the radio. This is perfect when you're tired of listening to your own songs and want to hear something new. Some players even have an FM Recording function, so you can record a song you like straight off the radio.

Games: If you plan on using your MP3 Player to keep you entertained while on the go, than you might want a player that has games that you can play. This added feature can make a difference in the level of entertainment you get from your digital audio player.

Voice Recording: You can find a lot of MP3 Players that have a voice-recording function. These players have a built-in microphone, which can be perfect for students who want to record lectures in the classroom.

Battery Life: Check to see how long the battery life of a particular MP3 Player is. If the battery life isn't as long as you plan to use it on a single charge, than it is best you look for something else. There's no point to having an MP3 player that requires you to constantly charge it for it to work.

Definitions:

Gigabytes: A unit of storage measurement consisting of one billion bytes (one thousand megabytes).

AAC Format: A file format developed by the MPEG group and similar in nature to mp3, though not as widely used. The AAC format is the format used by Apple's iTunes music download service.

Now that high definition (HD) technology has caught on like wildfire, experts and manufacturers are constantly whispering about innovations that will make televisions even bigger, brighter and clearer. Oddly enough, amidst all the hype and speculation, an innovative new HDTV - one with superior picture and an ultra-slim design - has hit the market to little fanfare.

The Sony OLED TV is currently available at sonystyle stores across the country. Sony's claims its OLED TV, the XEL-1, is "the next big thing in television technology". It measures only 3 millimeters thick (just slightly thicker than Apple's ultrathin MacBook Air) and it boasts blazing fast response times, outstanding contrast and color reproduction, high brightness, wide viewing angles and increased energy efficiency. Sony has invested more than $78 million in OLED, and believes the new technology will eventually replace plasma and liquid crystal display (LCD) as the dominant TV technology.

So, just what exactly is OLED and how is it different than plasma or LCD? Though the technology is a little bit, well, technical, here are the basics: The "O" in OLED refers to "organic", as in organic material (carbon compounds produced by living things, like plants). The "LED" stands for "Light Emitting Diode" and describes the process of converting electric energy into light. By sandwiching a layer of this organic material between two conductors (an anode and a cathode), and running an electric current through it, a bright light is produced that illuminates the screen. The major difference between OLED and plasma or LCD is that, because organic material emits the light, no back lighting is required.

Since the majority of a television's bulk and weight come from components to produce backlight, OLED TVs can be made incredibly slim and lightweight. The TVs also process much faster than LCD or plasma, which allows for smoother reproduction of fast moving images like those found in sports and action movies. Along with superior color reproduction, the OLED technology has incredibly high contrast and brightness. Sony boasts that their XEL-1 can achieve a contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1 (meaning the brightest white on the screen is a million times brighter than the darkest black on the screen). Another major benefit of OLED technology is its Energy Efficiency. Because there is no back lighting, Sony reports OLED panels are up to 40 percent more efficient per panel inch than a traditional LCD TV.

So, with all the benefits of this "revolutionary" technology, why aren't everyday people rushing out to buy Sony's new TV? For starters, the only OLED television Sony currently has available is an 11-inch set that costs $2,500. In an effort to stake claim to the new technology, Sony decided to release the XEL-1 while the technology is still being developed. Most other companies (including Samsung, Sharp and Toshiba) see the technology as too early in development for the market, and they don't predict it will be practical or affordable for at least another 3 to 5 years.

And history may support their reasoning. Manufacturers began toying with LCD technology in the 1970s but LCD TVs didn't reach consumers until this decade. In fact, LCD is still developing. Several companies (like Sharp) are putting OLED on the backburner while they continue to find ways to streamline LCD TVs - raising the picture quality and reducing the size and weight. Still, Sony is confident in its decision to release the innovative TV. While they continue to work on making screen sizes larger and knock down costs, they hope the XEL-1 will start to familiarize people with the new technology and permanently associate it with the Sony name.

You must be very happy to have finally bought an LCD TV. TV viewing will never be the same again. With this, you may also want to complement your new television with a new LCD TV stand. This will help save space and in the future, will also serve as storage for the media that you have.

Flat screen TV stands are much slender than the normal televisions. Therefore the thinner the stand, the more space it will save. The smooth and shiny look is better than the normal television. Many people are now opting for console stands because the TV is more exposed. Even though your TV is smaller, a stand is still important because you will also need a place where you will be storing your DVDs, and video games and other media.

Do not use your old stand because it will be totally out of place and it will not fit. An average CRT TV is 21 inches while an LCD or plasma TV measures up to 32 inches. In this regard, your old TV stand is already obsolete. Later on, you may want to buy a screen enlarger. This is something that hooks your LCD and provides you a larger screen. This is another factor that will make your LCD stand look rather obsolete. But then if your old stand means a lot to you and if it is big enough to accommodate you LCD TV, then you may use it as you wish.

A new LCD stand will prove to be helpful as you accumulate media throughout the years. Either you discard the others, or you keep them. Discarding your old media will prove to be not easy so it is better to just store them in the compartments of your LCD TV stand.

Soundproofing is the action taken to reduce the intensity of sound with respect to the receiver. The receiver can refer to a human, a listening or recording device or a piece of sensitive equipment affected by sound waves and their subsequent vibrations. The degree of soundproofing depends on the sensitivity of the receiver and its proximity to the source of the sound.

There are several different techniques that can be implemented when soundproofing. These include:

  • PASSIVE TECHNIQUES
    • Noise barriers
    • Acoustic insulators
    • Vibration dampers

  • ACTIVE TECHNIQUES
    • Anti-noise sound generators and interference cancellations

PASSIVE TECHNIQUES

Noise barriers are often seen adorning the highways and train lines of major cities. Their primary purpose is to mitigate the amount of noise pollution caused by the constant stream of traffic by deflecting the sound away from the urban population. These barriers are constructed from high density materials like cement or SDS (sound deadening steel) which also absorbs some of the sound.

Acoustic insulators confine noise within the insulated area. Record producers make use of this technique within their studio rooms to prevent 'bleed' from instruments between rooms. Many home theater systems utilize acoustic insulation to 'trap' the sounds within the theater space with the intention of enhancing the audio/visual experience.

Vibration damping is the most common form of treating unwanted mechanical noise. Aside from the obtrusive implications of unwanted noise pollution, vibration can cause irreparable damage to structures due to crack propagation from stress fatigue. Vibration dampers are elastic in their physical make up, allowing them to 'move with the mechanics' of the overall system and generally speaking, the more elastic a damper is, the more effective it will be at reducing the system's oscillations. Rubber pads or coil springs are excellent vibration dampers.

ACTIVE TECHNIQUES

Soundproofing using the active method employs the use of anti-noise devices which emit a pressure wave at the same amplitude, but exactly out of phase with the sound source, canceling each other out. What this suggests is the natural 'mountain valley' cycles of a wave are exactly opposite to each other; (I.E. when the initial source wave is in 'mountain phase' the anti-noise device will be in its 'valley phase'.) Once the two waves combine, they rescind each other back to a state of equilibrium. White noise devices, (which are analogous to white light in that they contain all the frequencies of the audio spectrum) perform noise cancellations by emitting a slight static buzz, which can sound very similar to rain, or the ocean, but that actively neutralizes any sound waves operating at the same amplitude.
